Can please somebody tell me why is New York so goddamn perfect? Just found those beautiful photos of NYC's 'The Night Hotel', a noir, monochromatic dream for every interior connoisseur. I love the consistency of the design, the strong sense of certain kind of experience it offers and the bravery behind such a bold and creative idea. I'll make sure to stay precisely there when I'll visit the big apple one day.

Noir Venom
Hi! So we decided to play around with our camera lately and try to attempt to broaden our photography skills. The idea was to achieve the 'studio' look we often see in magazines. It's not quite a 'studio' photography, considering I made this in our kitchen using white cloth as a background, although I gotta admit I was surprised how good they came out. Being a graphic designer I played around with the grayscale and typography to achieve the look we aimed for in our initial concept. The idea behind the photos tackles the perception of sinfulness and purity as well as explores the study of elegance in nude photography. Justine posed and styled, I shot and edited. Hope you guys like it!

Dark Renaissance by Underated London
Dark Basilica Leather Sweatshirt £120
London based indie brand called Underated have recently launched an exclusive collection of the overprints called Dark Renaissance. This set of tees and jumpers with architectural print and imagery of Jesus is in fact a revamped alternation of their regular stuff. Although I love the use of history in fashion, I'm not that into the current trend of using overprinted baroque paintings and ceiling designs onto tees and jumpers - the idea SEEMS good, yet the finished outcome often looks sloppy and cheap (which is the exact contradiction of what it supposed to look like) - but I gotta admit I'm absolutely in love with this new noir thing! The desaturation of golds and oranges makes it look way more interesting, sharp, timeless and cool + the whole collection have that interesting vibe of being dark but not gothic / emo / metal / whatever and I love how you can build up some totally new meaning to it. Although half of the collection is still yet to come, some of the pieces are already available for purchase in their online store. They also seem pretty pricey for an regular overprint but, well, what can you do? I'd love to get all those jumpers though! Anyone got a spare couple of hundreds I could borrow?
A bit about Underated London: Based in the heart of London, Underated is the segue between the modern stylistics of street wear and the delicate finesse of high fashion.
In an otherwise over populated fashion industry, our blend of modern street culture, bold renaissance imagery and contemporary prints helps separate us from competitors. Underated is a lifestyle brand and we pride ourselves in designing premium quality, trendy and unique garments we know you'll love.

J's Halloween Look 2013
Yes, I know I'm late. Halloween is already behind us and I got so busy at the time I couldn't find a spare moment to post it. But better late then never! This year I went for the sort of a twist of a Wednesday Addams x Pin Up girl x 60's spooky librarian mix that eventually made me look like a sort of dark version of Lana Del Rey (which I totally don't mind haha). I used La Riche Directions turquoise hair dye and I absolutely loved the effect! For those of you interested in achieving pastel shade I recommend doing what I did - don't put the paste directly onto your hair, try mixing it with hair conditioner instead, in 20% paste - 80% conditioner ratio. You'll get a nice strong pistachio shade. You can always add up more paste later on if you prefer stronger shade. I also used black lipstick from MAC - it spreads brilliantly and covers lips nicely for a long time, definitely worth recommending! The studded headband is from Call It Spring for £3, and earrings are from H&M for £7 + I found this bow neck dress in second hand for as little as £7. Putting everything altogether and voilĂ ! I'm ready to party. Hope you like it!

Louis Vuitton S/S 2014
According to the notes written and placed on every single seat by the designer himself, Louis Vuitton S/S14 is a glorious swan song Marc Jacobs dedicated to all the women that have inspired him throughout his 16-years-old journey as a creative director of the brand. The enchanting set design, made up of the elements from the previous collections (but repainted in black) served as a patched up collage of memoirs, resembling the grounds of spellbound noir Parisian carnival. The collection itself, a brilliant combination of mourning showgirls going punk the french way, embellished with the marvelous accessories was a true feast for the eyes. The overall playfulness and storytelling have struck us with a feeling of a positive melancholy and a sense of fulfillment. Thank you and farewell, Marc.
